I was wondering if any of you saw this concert? It was called 'Songs and Visions. Carlsberg concert 1997'. It was filmed in Europe. There's about 80 thousand people in attendance. The performers are Bon Jovi, Mary J Blidge, Seal, Rod Stewart, KD Lang, Chaka Kahan, Steve Winwood and Toni Braxton. But, more importantly the backing band is unbelievable! First off, Vinnie. Who's playing matched grip on his blonde gretsch kit, with a cigarette hangin' out his mouth(long pony tail and all!!!)Nathan East on bass, Chuck leavell-keys, Paulhino da Costa-perc., Michael Landau, Jerry Hay Tom R. and the usual L.A. suspects in the horn section.They are doing songs past to present. Everything from Elvis to Sting to Bon Jovi to Donna Summer. (They even do 'Stairway to Heaven') The band of course kills every tune. So, does anyone know the background on this show? Vinnie is reading the whole thing down, everyone is for that matter... But I was wondering how much rehearsal went into it and all the goodies like that. It's really great, Vinnie's having a ball too. I found it on this station that Direct TV has, called: Trio ??

I'd like to know if it's out on DVD or how to get the darn thing.

I have a DVD of the show but was told by Roy C that's t not the full show.

Well, it would seem I've been confusing myself and thinking of something else.....I have the dvd, and it's two hours which was how long it was when I originally saw it, so it's obviously the full show....my old memory's not what it used to be...
I could have sworn Chaka also did "Ain't Nobody"....

I have the dvd it's in fact the whole show splitted in two broadcastings.
